Information technology and museums: Virtual reconstruction of the house, the birthplace of Leo Tolstoy, is presented in Yasnaya Polyana

In the Leo Tolstoy Museum-Reserve "Yasnaya Polyana" (the Tula region) is presented a new multimedia project "Dom_probel", which is a virtual reconstruction of the house, where in 1828 Leo Tolstoy was born. With this home were associated childhood memories of the writer, resurrecting his family and loved ones - mother, father, grandmother, sister and brothers. In 1854 the house was sold at dumped neighbor Lev Nikolayevich - Gorokhov landlord, and even half a century later it became dilapidated and was demolished. At the site of a building in Yasnaya Polyana was only a stone foundation, which was subsequently stamped inscription: "Here was a house, the birthplace of Leo Tolstoy".

To overcome the distance of space and time was available due to modern technology, based on which the project "Dom_probel" was developed. Now you can virtually visit the 9 rooms: mother’s bedroom, where Tolstoy was born in the nursery, living room, dining room, a classroom, in the rooms of Tatyana Alexandrovna Yergolskaya and Praskovya Isaevna, the father's study and bedroom of grandmother Pelageya Nikolayevna.
