Russian culture abroad: The exhibition "Cossacks in the novel of M. A. Sholokhov" Quiet Don"", presented in Prague

From 12 to 20 October 2016 at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Prague (the Czech Republic) the M. A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve (the Rostov region) presents the exhibition "Cossacks in the novel of M. A. Sholokhov's "And Quiet Flows the Don"".

Cossacks are shown in the exhibition multifaceted - in the home, the family, in the development of historical events of the late XIX and early XX centuries. Visitors will see how to dress the Cossacks and the Cossacks, what Cossack required, the outgoing service.

On military service of Cossacks the photographs, items of Cossack gear and harness, military awards - certificates of military glory and feats of arms "for the Faith, Tsar and Fatherland" tell.

On the side of the home life of the Don will tell family photos, clothing, household items and tools of the early XX century.

The exhibition includes illustrations of the Sholokhov's works by the artists O. Vereysky, Y. Rebrov.

Guests of the exhibition "Cossacks in the novel of M. A. Sholokhov "And Quiet Flows the Don"" will see photographs, opening up the beauty of the Don region, which gave the mankind the Great Russian writer.
