International events: Russia and Austria will hold cross Year of Tourism in 2017

2017 is declared a "cross" Year of Tourism in Austria and Russia. Its main task will be the promotion of new tourist products. In addition, in its framework, will be continued the development of cooperation between the regions of both countries. A special place will be marketing campaigns, the exchange of experience in the development of ski tourism, joint projects of Associations of small towns and beautiful villages.

The program of the year includes exhibitions, concerts, film screenings, lectures, literary evenings. Start of "cross" Year of the Russian and Austrian tourism will be given during the Travel Fair Ferien - Messe Wien. It will be held in the Austrian capital in mid-January.

Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia Alla Manilova noted that the "cross" Year of Tourism should change the negative trend of decline of tourist flows. For this purpose, in particular, the Vienna office of the national tourism agency Visit Russia will be opened.
