The State Archive of the Yaroslavl region digitized parish register books. According to representatives of agencies, digital images of the main documentary sources for the study of family history and compiling genealogical tree will be loaded into the system "AIS-Archive" and are available to users in the reading room and via the Internet.
Plot of digitizing perish books was equipped on the territory of the State Archive of the Yaroslavl region by scanners ELAR PlanScan with a special cradle for bound documents with a thickness of 10 to 70 cm and weighing up to 50 kg.
The State Archive of Yaroslavl Region is one of the largest regional Russian archives, it documentary collection consists of more than 3.6 million units. Collection of documents of pre-revolutionary fund is one of the leading places in the Central Federal District, and sixteen of them are included in the State Register of unique documents of Archival fund of the Russian Federation.
