Languages of peoples of Russia: Acoustic data base of languages of the peoples of Yakutia

Acoustic database of several languages ​​of the peoples living in Yakutia was created by scientists at Northeastern University.

"Comprehensive study of the problems of oral speech of the peoples of the North-East: Saha, Evens, Yukaghir, Dolgan - is the main direction of research work carried out in the laboratory. For this purpose is created a fundamental acoustic database of languages, systematizing information", - said Head of the Laboratory of Experimental Philology, Associate Professor Institute of Language and Culture of the Peoples of the North-East of Russia Irina Sorova.

Scientists use modern software, specially created for the study of speech, which helps to trace the interaction of linguistic realities in their historical development. Research has set the pronunciation rules of the Yakut language, summarizing the rules and principles.

Research is carried out in the framework of the grant of the Russian Humanitarian Scientific Foundation on orthoepy of the Yakut language.
