Memorable dates of Russia: Exhibition "Treasures of music are inexhaustible" to the 110th anniversary of Shostakovich in Moscow

Section of Music libraries of the Russian Library Association and the department of printed music and sound recordings of RSL invites to the exhibition "Treasures of music are inexhaustible", dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the great composer Dmitry Shostakovich (1906-1975).

The exhibition includes, on the one hand, the publication demonstrating multi-genre creativity Shostakovich, on the other - different types of documents: notes, records and CD-disks, books and magazines. In addition, the first time you can see programs from concerts, opera and ballet performances of Shostakovich, held at leading stages and venues in Russia, as well as newspaper clippings of articles for 1960-2000s. Of particular interest are musical publications containing the composer's autographs addressed famous Soviet musical figures and researcher Boris Asafiev and composer Vissarion Yakovlevich Shebalin.

It is also presented applets, newspaper clippings, articles, playbills, music records with records published in 1979, the first complete collection of Shostakovich's works in 42 volumes, and a new published to the 100th anniversary of the composer - as early as 150 volumes.
