Internet and History: The Internet project "The bridge across the Kerch Strait" is presented

September 30, 2016 Rosarchiv presented the Internet project "The bridge across the Kerch Strait" - the story of the construction of the crossing of the Strait of Kerch, numbering more than a hundred years. The first surveys were conducted back in 1903-1906, works on the construction of the bridge took place during the Great Patriotic War and the early postwar years. The basis of the publication of the documents constituted the Russian State Archives of Economics (RGAE), the State Archive of the Russian Federation (GA RF), the Russian State Archive of Socio-Political History (RGASPI), the Russian State Historical Archive (RSHA). 

Most of the documents - originals or certified copies, which had marked "Confidential" or "Top Secret" and previously unpublished. A significant part of the Internet-project is illustrative material: sketches, plans, construction of the bridge Kerch in 1944.

Published documents can trace the history of the development projects crossing through the Kerch Strait in the beginning of the last century, during the Great Patriotic War and in the early postwar years.
