History of Russia: Stavropol opened the V Forum of the World Russian People's Council "North Caucasus 1917-2017: Lessons of the Century"

The V Stavropol forum of the World Russian People's Council is held on 29-30 November 2016. This year’s theme: "North Caucasus 1917-2017: Lessons of the Century".

The experts will discuss on the forum the problems of socio-economic and cultural development of the peoples of the North Caucasus in the context of the historical experience of the last century.

It is attended by representatives of public authorities, traditional religions, scientific and educational communities, non-governmental organizations, regional national-cultural associations, experts from various fields of activity in Russia and other countries.

Within the forum is scheduled the section "The fate of the Russian state, the church and society: the North Caucasus in the creation of a new Russia", "The Church as the guardian of the spiritual values ​​of the Russian civilization", "Development of religious, ethnic relations and the formation of civic identity and patriotism in the multiethnic region: historical experience and current challenges" and "Russian Caucasus in the global dimension".
