Memory Russia: Exhibition "1941. Road to Victory" in Tula

The Tula Regional Museum from November 25, 2016 presents the exhibition "1941. Road to Victory".

The exhibition is based on the documents of the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, prepared by employees of the State Museum-Reserve "Kulikovo Field", as well as materials from the museum-reserve fund.

The exposition will acquaint visitors with the little-known pages of the Great Patriotic War, namely the fighting near Tula on Kulikovo Field in November - December 1941, during the Battle of Moscow - one of the most significant events of the Great Patriotic War. The defeat of Nazi troops near Moscow in many ways defined the further course of the war, and has become an important milestone on the road to Victory.

Tula defense is considered to be a part of the Battle of Moscow. But few people know that in November - December 1941, the events, associated with the defense of Tula and Moscow, took place on the territory of Kulikovo field. The fighting, despite the great distance from the key points of the grand battles were fierce character.

The exhibition will run till January 29, 2017.
