History of Russia: Exhibition "Battle for Moscow" is opening in Moscow

The Multimedia Art Museum (Moscow) from November 9, 2016 presents the exhibition "Battle for Moscow".

The exhibition is timed to the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Moscow. The project includes works by such classics of Soviet photography as Reminiscences, Emmanuel Evzerihin, Dmitry Baltermants, Ivan Shagin. Photographs of 1941 depict the gunners nominating guns; militias going to defend the capital; Muscovites digging anti-tank ditch on Khoroshevskoye highway.

The exhibition tells about the life of citizens in this not easy time - the photos of Shaikhet feature bomb shelter on Mayakovskaya metro station, schoolchildren have the poster for civil defense.

Totally the exhibition features more than 100 works.
