Information technology and museums: New interactive museum to be constructed in the homeland of Hans Christian Andersen

In the Danish city of Odense, the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen, will be constructed a new interactive museum, where visitors can immerse themselves in a world created by a great storyteller. On the eve the project of the museum complex was made, which won in the international contest.

Andersen Museum - in the house where the writer was born, lived and worked there for over a hundred years. There are personal items of Andersen's manuscripts and books. The new museum will be called "The House of Tales". It will be built by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. Author of the project decided to focus not on the biography of Hans Christian Andersen, but on the atmosphere of his works. The museum building will be surrounded by garden-maze with hedges, artificial ponds and lawns. The largest building in the complex will be called "Flint". Two of its three floors will be underground in order the construction did not break the line of the garden landscape. The construction will be completed in 2020.
