Society and Culture: International Mandelstam readings in Voronezh

The I. S. Nikitin Voronezh Regional Literary Museum with the partnership participation of the Mandelstam society and the Voronezh State University on 7-9 November 2016 hosts the International Mandelstam readings.

An important event in the Russian culture in 2016 was the 125th anniversary of the birth of O. E. Mandelstam. For three days in Voronezh, where Mandelstam was in exile in 1934-1937 are held the International Mandelstam readings, at which are discussed the issues of preserving the memory of the outstanding poets of the XX century and his artistic heritage. The forum was attended by leading experts of museums, well-known linguists, cultural and art figures in Russia.
