Society and Culture: Information and interactive exhibition "Secrets of the museum restoration" in Tikhvin

The State Museum-Reserve "Pavlovsk" in cooperation with the Museum Agency of the Leningrad region until 20 February 2017 provides informational and interactive exhibition "Secrets of the museum restoration", which is deployed on the territory of the Tikhvin Historical Memorial Art and Architectural Museum.

The exhibition introduces the modern viewer with the intricacies of the restoration of the palace halls, pavilions and park of works of art from the collection of the Museum-Reserve "Pavlovsk". Visitors will see some of the secrets of restoration skills. All restored masterpieces are accompanied by detailed annotations, as well as photographs that give an idea of ​​the state of the exhibits before and during the work.

The exhibition is complemented by videos, dedicated to the museum restoration and multimedia from Ascreen creative team which built around the exhibits a truly vibrant history.

Visitors will see the installation "Workshop of the furniture restorer", will know what knowledge and skills you need to become a restorer, can hold it in the hands of real instruments and even try to feel for a moment like restorer.
