The Year of Russian Cinema-2016: The exhibition "The World of Tsiolkovsky on the Big Screen" was opened in Kaluga

October 27, 2016 at the K. E. Tsiolkovsky State Museum of History of Cosmonautics (Kaluga) was opened the exhibition "In the infinity of the universe he fascinated us with dream: the world of Tsiolkovsky on the big screen". The opening was attended by Kaluga residents, who participated in the filming of movies by Savva Kulish "Rise" and Yuri Kara "Korolev", teachers and students of lyceum №9, where the majority of movies about Tsilkovsky were filmed and many visitors who are interested in all the events associated with K. E. Tsiolkovsky, space and museum. 

Addressing the guests, Director of the Museum of History of Astronautics Natalia Abakumova said that the exhibition "World of Tsiolkovsky on the big screen", which was opened on the eve of the International Cinema Day (December 28), is another major event prepared by the museum as part of the Year of Russian cinema.

The exhibition traces the long history of treatment of cinema masters to create an artistic image of the founder of theoretical astronautics Tsiolkovsky. The exhibition presents unique photographs, documents, books, media, scripts, documentary footage from the filming of movies, costumes, accessories and props, as well as fragments of films and music to them, interesting facts from the history of the film and participation of Kaluga residents in filming, photographic and cinematographic filmmakers illustrate a history of the image of K. E. Tsiolkovsky.

The exhibition will run until February 15, 2017.
