
Society and Culture: Thematic trains, dedicated to literature and art, are launched in the metro of Moscow and St. Petersburg
On the eve of New Year celebrations in St. Petersburg metro started running a literary train. All eight train cars are dedicated to writers and poets whose names are associated with the city on the Neva.
You can see the quotations from the works of Alexander Pushkin, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Nikolai Chernyshevsky, Vladimir Mayakovski on the walls of the wagon. In addition, cars are decorated with portraits of Anna Akhmatova, Nikolai Gumilev, Alexander Blok. There, passengers can learn about the main stages of their life and work.
Thematic trains run quite often. The Moscow metro not so long ago had a train, dedicated to the art of the last century. On the walls of wagons are presented fragments of paintings from the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery.
To the anniversary of the historic parade on Red Square was launched the train "Great Commanders". All the cars are dedicated to famous generals who fought with the enemies of our Motherland.
