Exhibitions: Exposition to the 80th anniversary of the Writers' House in Lavrushinsky Lane in Moscow

The exhibition "Lavrushinsky, 17. To the 80th anniversary of the Writer’s House" for the anniversary of the famous writer's house in Lavrushinsky Lane is opened on December 26, 2016 in the exhibition halls of the State Pushkin Museum (Moscow).

The exhibition tells the story of the construction of the house, its famous occupants, the truth and the myths associated with them and the legendary home. As the name suggests, it is dedicated to the anniversary of a unique home that was built in Zamoskvorechie in the middle of the 30s by architect Ivan Nikolaev. Soviet tradition to settle the intelligentsia "of interest" can be traced back to classical Moscow address. In an alley in Polianka – the House of Cinematographers, on Gorky Street - the House of Composers, Artists house in Bryusov lane, and finally, the Writers House - Lavrushinsky.

The exposition structure repeats resettlement scheme of the house and is divided on the entrances. Every writer, living in the house №17 in Lavrushinsky Lane, has a separate window with personal belongings, photographs, autographs and letters, which are now kept in private collections and family archives.

Two additional information blocks are dedicated to the residents - veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the famous guests of the house.
