Information Technology and libraries: The libraries of Moscow will have an online service to inform about new books

Moscow Libraries will send readers SMS with information on new books received to the funds.

Now the service of SMS-mailing in Moscow libraries passes “run”. So far, with their help, readers are reminded of books of a return period. The SMS-reminders are available to readers to 250 of 441 metropolitan libraries. All such institutions will be technically possible in the first quarter of 2017.

"If the service becomes popular, in the future we will consider using it to inform about new books received by the library", - said the acting Head of "Management of cultural centers" Vladimir Vladimirov.
