President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the preparation and holding of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the 1917 revolution

In connection with the 100th anniversary of the 1917 revolution celebrated in 2017, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on the preparation and holding of events dedicated to this date.

The order means the Russian historical society to form the organizing committee on preparation and holding of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the 1917 revolution in Russia.

Organizing Committee within one month from its inception should to develop and approve a plan for the preparation and holding of commemorative events.

The Ministry of Culture of Russia should provide organizational and technical support of the organizing committee.

Public authorities of the Russian Federation, local government bodies, public associations, interested in scientific and educational organizations encouraged to participate in the preparation and holding of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the 1917 revolution in Russia.
