Russian language abroad: In London is opened the Center of Russian Language

The A. S. Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language opened affiliate center of the Russian language on the basis of the school of additional education "Knowledge" in London.

Creating a partnership centers around the world to study and popularize the Russian language and Russian culture is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. The center, which opened in London, will be engaged in teaching children and adults of the Russian language, as well as to confirm the qualification of teachers.

The school of additional education "Knowledge" has been operating since 2003, it has five branches. Profiling subjects of the center are the Russian language, literature and language development.

According to the Vice-Rector for Science Institute Pushkin Michael Osadchy, on the basis of a partnership in the center of London is planned to develop a system of certification testing, certification and accreditation of teachers of the Russian language and Russian-language schools in the UK.

Network of partners’ centers currently has 28 centers around the world in 2017. The university plans to open 17 more centers.
