Memory of Russia: A monument "Victory of Soldiers" in Moscow

In Moscow was opened the monument "Victory of Soldiers". The cast bronze sculpture is installed at the National Defense Russian control center. The ceremony, which was attended by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, is timed to the Day celebrated on December 9 Heroes of the Fatherland.

The sculpture was created by renowned sculptor of Mikhail Grekov studio of military artists Mikhail Pereyaslavets. "One of the prototypes of "Victory of Soldiers" was his father - a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, a fighter pilot, who is now 98 years", - noted in his speech Sergei Shoigu.
