Society and Culture: Exhibition "Two brothers Benoit. Albert and Alexander. Watercolors and drawings from the Russian and foreign private collections" in Moscow

From December 9, 2016 to January 15, 2017 the Central House of Artists on Krymsky Val (Moscow) Gallery "KABINET" with the support of the Moscow City Department of Culture presents the exhibition "Two brothers Benoit", which will be the logical continuation of the exhibition "Albert Benoit. Miracles", which had with great success in the CHA this summer.

The works of two famous representatives of the family Benoit: the founder of the association "World of Art", the chief artist of "Russian Seasons", a brilliant wizard and deep art critic Alexandre Benois (1870-1960) and his older brother - the founder of the Society of Russian watercolors, academician of the Imperial Academy of Arts Albert Benois were presented (1852-1936).

The main part of the exposition consists of 150 watercolors from Russian private collections. Many of these viewers will see it for the first time.

Special thematic section constitute pre-revolutionary "artistic cards" - vintage postcards issued by the Community of St. Eugene, typography Plouchard and other publishers, with reproductions of works of two famous representatives of the Benoit family.
