Exhibitions: The exhibition "The Art to preserve the history" is presented in the Saratov Regional Museum of Local History to its 130th anniversary

December 7, 2016 in the Saratov Regional Museum hosts an exhibition "Art to preserve the history" to the 130th anniversary of the museum. It presents museum exhibits, received new life after restoration. This is more than 30 monuments of history and material culture of different times: paintings, drawings, decorative arts, archeology and ethnography items, weapons and furniture. Among them are bronze mirrors, and tissue samples of XIII - XIV centuries found during archaeological excavations on the territory of the Saratov and the Volgograd regions; carpets with scenes based on the pictures on the theme of war with Napoleon. They are woven for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the victory over Napoleon in 1912. It presents unique large-format posters - "Agitokna" that Saratov artists created during the Great Patriotic War and exhibited in the windows of the central city; furniture by Italian masters of the XIX century; antique cold steel and firearms. Here you can see the guns of the XVIII century and the XIX century Blunderbuss work of Caucasian masters, sword with the inscription engraved on one side of the blade: "For the Turkish war of 1828 and 1829", on the other - a kind of motto: "Fear to be wrong to the king".

The earliest object, which is exhibited at the exhibition, refers to the XXII - XX centuries BC. This is flute, made from the ancient master bone tubes. It was found in the Rivne region of the Saratov region near the village Skatovka during archaeological excavations in 1953.  

Many of the restored museum exhibits are displayed for the first time.

The bulk of the items, displayed at the exhibition, held restoration and conservation works on the restoration of the Moscow organizations such as ECO "Sloboda", LLC "Research and Restoration Center", the All-Russian scientific and artistic restoration center of Academician I. E. Grabar. Some objects were restored by art restorer of the Saratov Regional Museum. To present the scale performed work on photographs can be possible before restoration.
