Memory Russia: Exhibition "Battle for Moscow" to the 75th anniversary of the battle is opened in the capital

The exhibition "Battle for Moscow" is opened at the Multimedia Art Museum. It is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the beginning of one of the largest and bloodiest battles of the Great Patriotic War. Battle became a turning point. Thanks to the courage of Soviet soldiers and residents of the city collapsed myth of the invincibility of Hitler's army. In spite of the terrible losses, it was won major strategic victory raised expectations for the full and unconditional victory in the war, which took the path to long four years.

The exhibition "Battle for Moscow" reflects the main stages of the battles. Photographs and newsreel allow you to see how the city was organized by the defense, the offensive of the Red Army took place, gives to feel the mood of the city defenders, among whom were women, children and the elderly, all those who could not go to war as a volunteer.

Among the thousands of photographers who participated in the World War II, working on different fronts, namely the Soviet photographers left the most poignant evidence of this terrible time, showing miracles of heroism in circumstances where simply pointing the lens sharpness seemed impossible either physically or mentally.
