Society and Culture: Exhibition "Heroes of Sholokhov on the screen" in the Rostov region

The excursion and exhibition center "People's House" of the M. A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve (village Vyoshenskaya, the Rostov region) on January 27, 2017 starts a large-scale exhibition "Heroes of Sholokhov on the screen", which shows the materials about the films shot by the writer's works.

Thematically, the exhibition is divided into four large sections, three of which tell about the film adaptation of Sholokhov's works - "The Quiet Don", "Virgin Soil Upturned", "Don stories", "The Fate of a Man" and "They Fought for Their Country", and the fourth is a cinema in the village Vyoshenskaya at the time of the premiere of the film "When Cossacks cry" in 1963.

Already in the lobby of the "People's House" visitors are immersed in the atmosphere of the cinema: on an interactive screen they can see fragments of documentaries about the shooting of films based on the works by M. A. Sholokhov. All rooms are well represented with scene from the films, moments of the shooting process, colorful posters, screenplays, and others. Installation with the showing of cinema equipment film attributes, screens of different formats, which demonstrate the films, make it possible during the tour to feel their involvement in the cinematography.

Total by the works of M. A. Sholokhov it is filmed 19 screen adaptations. Each of them has left its mark in the history of cinema and the hearts of the audience, many of the films are included in the "golden fund" of the national cinema

The exhibition will run till March 8.
