Museums of Russia: Moscow Museums in 2017 will present large-scale exhibitions

The Moscow museums in 2017 will present dozens of exhibitions, among them - the first large-scale retrospective of Giorgio de Chirico at the State Tretyakov Gallery, and Takashi Murakami's "Garage", and the show of graphs of Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele from the collection of Vienna's Albertina Museum, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.

The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts has prepared the exhibition for fans of the classic graphics and contemporary art.

In June there will be opened the exhibition "Titian. Veronese, Tintoretto. The Golden Age of Venetian Painting", where you can see 40 paintings with scenes on religious and mythological themes, as well as portraits.

The year will be open with the exhibition "Caprichos. Goya and Dali" of the same name dedicated to graphic series of artists. 

One of the main, as they say in the museum, this year's exhibitions - "The face of the future. European Art of 1945-1968", created in collaboration with the Centre for Fine Arts BOZAR and the Centre for Art and Media ZKM will receive its first visitors on March7.

In addition, the museum will present approximately 120 paintings by Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele from the collection of Vienna's Albertina Museum (opening scheduled for mid-October) and a retrospective of Chaim Soutine, which the Pushkin Museum is preparing, together with the Paris Orangerie Museum (from November 11).

In the State Tretyakov Gallery there will be another project by Russian artist - the most comprehensive in the last 30 years a retrospective of works by Zinaida Serebryakova. In the Engineering Building on April 4 are available her portraits, landscapes and sketches of murals of Kazan railway station in Moscow and a series devoted to the Mariinsky Theatre backstage.

The museum also participates in the festival "The Thaw: facing the future" and in late winter - February 14, it opens the exhibition "The Thaw" with the works by Helium Korzhev, Tahir Salahov, Anatoly Zverev, Erik Bulatov, Ernst Unknown and other artists.

On the occasion of another grand exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of the revolution - "Someone 1917" - from the State Gallery in London brought the painting" Suprematism 57" by Kazimir Malevich, which the Soviet government in Lenin exchanged letters. The main idea of ​​the exhibition - to show how artists, among them Mikhail Nesterov, Vasily Kandinsky, Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, react to the fracture.

The principal foreign project of this year in the museum will be an exhibition of the Italian avant-garde artist Giorgio de Chirico "Nostalgia for Infinity", it will include about 100 paintings, drawings, sculpture, and theater costumes, made by the artist for the repertory of Sergei Diaghilev's ballet "Ball" in 1929.

The Moscow Kremlin Museums on March 3 will host the exhibition "Saint Louis and the relics of Sainte-Chapelle", which will show the XIII century stained-glass windows and sculptures from this Parisian church, built by the emperor to hold sacred relics brought by the crusaders from Constantinople. Most of the exhibits had never left France.

The exhibition "Luxury Imperial Japan" will also be held here since the Meiji kimono, "Lord of the Ocean. Treasures of the Portuguese Empire of XVI-XVIII centuries".

Fans of the works by architect Antoni Gaudí would not necessarily go to Barcelona, in theory it is quite possible to find them in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art. On May 23 there will be presented his 150 works, including plans to build a cathedral Sagrada de Familia and Guell Palace.
