History of Russia: Exhibition "House of Peter the Great" in St. Petersburg

The exhibition "House of Peter the Great" is opened in the Commandant's house of the Peter and Paul Fortress (St. Petersburg).

The exhibition tells about the houses and palaces, now existing or surviving, where ever stayed the first Russian Emperor Peter I during his travels.

The exhibition, opened in the Commandant's House - a unique guide to the Petrine places in Russia and Europe. It united prints, postcards and contemporary photographs with images of royal houses from the collection of the State Museum of History of St. Petersburg. The exhibition is accompanied by multimedia programs with video tours around the home of Peter I in Kadriorg, Zaandam, Strelna and Derbent.

In addition, the exposition gives an idea of the personality of the tsar-reformer, about his interests and habits, tells of curious cases that occurred during travel.
