Exhibitions: The exhibition "Friends of the Gnessin House" in Moscow

In the Memorial museum apartment of El. F. Gnessina (Moscow) within the XXII Gnessin readings is opening the exhibition "Friends of the Gnessins House".

The exhibition from the collection of the memorial museum-apartment of El. F. Gnessina includes 89 exhibits: photographs, letters, manuscripts - musical and literary programs and other documents.

Friends of the large, talented, witty and welcoming family Gnessins was a lot. For many years in their home have brought together great musicians and other wonderful people who are always attracted creative and intelligent atmosphere of this house. 

The exhibition is conditionally divided into three parts. In one of them there are friends of the family in the city of Rostov-on-Don, where were passed childhood and early teenage years of Gnessins sisters and brothers. A special place is formed in Moscow, during training of Gnessins sisters in the circle of young musicians conservatory. From the exhibition materials can be formed some idea of ​​the circle sessions and the atmosphere during the meetings in the house of the Gnessins (friends preferred their meeting there).

The second part of the exhibition includes artifacts associated with many outstanding personalities in Moscow and St. Petersburg, in different years it was closely associated with the Gnessins.

Finally, one more part of "friends", indicative for a family of outstanding teachers - their pupils who have become friends. Here is a family where not one, but two generations of musicians studied at the Gnessin House.

In general, the exhibition materials are quite diverse and cover a period from the 1890s to the 1960s.
