The work was carried out on the series for four years and is being continued to this day. The photos were taken on the three islands of the archipelago: the Big Solovetsky Island, the Anzer Island and the island of Grand Zayatsky.

The exhibition presents views of the Solovki and White Sea in a transitional period of autumn and winter, when there is no postcard splendor and gracious, and in harmony with the very nature of the complex fate of the islands.

Solovki landscape is complemented by portraits and genre works. Most is made in the Holy Trinity monastery on Anzer Island. This place, 400 years ago, which has become the beginning of skete life on Solovki, is now recovering from the ruins. The author has created a series of portraits of the inhabitants of the monastery, who make their daily service on the island, cut off from the monastery six months of the year.

The exhibition "Solovki. Place of foreboding" gives an idea that Solovki - it's not just the Solovetsky Monastery, this is an archipelago with its monuments, stunning nature, as well as secrets and difficult history.
