February 9, 2017 the Leo Tolstoy State Museum (Moscow) opens the exhibition ""Anna Karenina". 120 aquatint of Alexander Alekseev". The exhibition invites you to look at Leo Tolstoy's novel "Anna Karenina" through the eyes of amazing artist Alexander Alekseev.

Wonderful illustrator, graphic artist, filmmaker and animator, he was an emigrant of the first wave. Almost all his life he spent outside the country, but the soul has always been associated with the homeland.

A special place in the works of A. Alekseev took a series of illustrations for the Tolstoy's novel "Anna Karenina", on which he worked from 1951 to 1957. He created 120 aquatints. During the life of the artist, the publication of illustrations did not take place. Today, 50 years later, this cycle in its entirety is presented at the exhibition.
