Russian culture abroad: Days of Russian books and Russian literature in Paris

4 and 5 February 2017 in the intellectual heart of Paris, the Latin Quarter, are taking place the Days of Russian books and Russian literature (Journées du Livre Russe), which will bring together writers, translators, Slavists, historians, literary scholars, scientists and public figures.

The festival "Days of Russian books and Russian literature" will be held for the eighth time. This year the main theme of the festival will be the work of Russian writers and figures of Russian culture in exile. Lives of writers living abroad will be revealed both the example of the classics, who were forced to leave their homeland, and the example of contemporary authors from around the world.

Within the festival in the City Hall of the 5th district of Paris will take place on February 4 the eleventh ceremony of awarding the winners of the award for translators and publishers of Russian literature in French "Rusophonia". It is awarded for the best translation of Russian literature into French.
