Memory of Russia: The Volgograd region hosts the exhibition "The rally of winners" dedicated to the 74th anniversary of victory in the Battle of Stalingrad

In the Volgograd region, in Mikhailovsky Regional Museum, with the support of the Volgograd regional branch of the Russian Military-Historical Society was opened the exhibition "The rally of winners" dedicated to the 74th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi troops at Stalingrad.

The exhibition was created on the basis of archival photographs and materials of the Museum-Reserve "The Battle of Stalingrad" funds and the Mikhailovsky Regional Museum, many of which are shown for the first time.

In the center of the exhibition - a significant event that took place in Stalingrad immediately after the greatest battle on the Volga. This is a solemn rally on the Square of Fallen Fighters on February 4, 1943.

The exhibition also features photo reportage from the military-historical reconstruction of the rally, which was held at the historic site in Volgograd on February 16, 2014.

The exhibition will run till April 15.
