Society and Culture: The exhibition "Madonna of the Soviet era" in Nizhny Novgorod

On the eve of the spring holiday, the Russian Museum of Photography (Nizhny Novgorod) presents the exhibition "Madonna of the Soviet era", dedicated to women of the Soviet era. The exposition includes photos from the museum's funds, created in the 1930s-1980s.

At the exhibition you can see footage of the official chronicle, shot for newspapers by Gorky photo reporters.

Soviet women were not afraid of difficulties: they set sports records, dug trenches, rafted the forest, trained tigers, but in all circumstances remained faithful to their destination - love and motherhood.

The exhibition runs till March 19, 2107
