History and Culture: The exhibition of painting "Fortress of the Spirit. Solovki" in St. Petersburg

The exhibition of paintings "Fortress of the spirit. Solovki" was opened on March 6, 2017 in the Stable wing of the Yusupov Palace on the Moika (St. Petersburg). The exhibition tells about the life and fate of the Solovetsky Islands.

The exhibition presents more than 100 paintings and drawings of artists from different cities who worked in Solovki in different periods. This feature of the exposition will allow visitors to see various stylistic features of the performance of works, thoughts of artists on the theme of Solovki and Solovetsky monastery.

Stable outbuilding is a new multifunctional space, combining the historical interior of the XIX century with elements of the loft. The two-story building is located on the territory of the former manor, near the main house of the princes Yusupovs.
