Memorable dates of Russia: The exhibition "Singer of the Russian forest!", dedicated to the 185th anniversary of Ivan Shishkin, in Penza

The K. A. Savitsky Penza Picture Gallery celebrates this year the 125th anniversary. In honor of the anniversary in Penza is presented an exhibition of works by Ivan Shishkin "Singer of Russian forest!", which is dedicated to another memorable date - the 185th anniversary of the painter's birth.

The exhibition features over fifty works, including - paintings, sketches, graphics. Many of them have never been displayed before. Shishkin was a close friend by Konstantin Savitsky - the first director of the Penza Art Gallery. Thanks to this friendship the local collection of the artist is considered one of the best.

In the center of the exhibition - rarely exhibited landscape "In the Crimea" - one of the most important series of works created in 1879.
