Society and book culture: Masterpieces of book art of XIV-XVI centuries are presented at the exhibition "Discovering God's World" in St. Petersburg

March 2, 2017 at the Museum of the History of Religion (St. Petersburg) is opening the exhibition "Discovering God's World", representing the masterpieces of Russian and Western European book art of XIV-XVI centuries - manuscripts and old printed books from the Rare Book Fund of the Museum of Religion.

The materials of rare editions of the museum collection of the fund "Rare Books" at the exhibition tell about the scientific researches in the monasteries in the XVII century, during the formation of experimental science, and therefore - the birth of modern science.
