History and Culture: The exhibition from the collections of the Pushkin Reserve "Roads of Pushkin" was opened in Yelabuga

The exhibition from the collection of the Pushkin Reserve "Roads of Pushkin" was opened in the Yelabuga State Historical-Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve.

In Russian literature there is a lot of wonderful poetry and prose works devoted to the road - their road experience travelers widely reflected in the correspondence, memoirs, poems… The theme of the road - it is, in fact, the theme of human life, fate. It is presented in many works of A. S. Pushkin.

A. S. Pushkin traveled thousands of miles on the roads of the central provinces of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Bessarabia, the Caucasus and Crimea, he visited Kazan, Orenburg, Uralsk, he saw many Russian towns and villages.

Historical household objects, presented in the exhibition, depict the image of the traveler of the XIX century and give an idea about the features of the movement across the expanses of Russia for cartage. The decoration of the exhibition is objects of decorative art with beaded decor of the first half of the XIX century. These elegant purses, penwiper, inkwells, coin holders, handmade by skilled workers, were very much in fashion and had a special place in the luggage traveling.
