Society and church: The exhibition "Awards of the Russian Orthodox Church. For works incurred" in Moscow

February 23, 2017 at the Museum of the military uniforms of the Russian Military-Historical Society (Moscow) was opened the exhibition "Awards of the Russian Orthodox Church. For works incurred".

The exhibition is open for the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill. It was the first event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the restoration of the Patriarchate in Russia. The exposition reveals the theme of the sacred host and spiritual protection of the Russian state. For the first time it is gathered together, and all the awards system of the Russian Orthodox Church - orders, medals and badges, which the Russian Orthodox Church celebrates the works and services in the pastoral ministry, theological and scientific activities, restoration of temples, missionary, charitable, social and educational works of the clergy and laity.

The exhibits are provided by the Heraldic Council at the Patriarchal award committee, films and photos – said the press service of the Moscow Patriarchate Publishing Council of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Russian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents.

The exhibition runs until May 2017. After that, with the blessing of Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, it will be open in the Christ the Savior Cathedral.
