History of Russia abroad: In Geneva was opened the exhibition "Icons of the Russian Revolution", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution

The exhibition "Icons of the Russian Revolution" was opened on February 23, 2017 in the Geneva Art Gallery “D10”, starting a series of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the revolution.

The exposition features works of art created since the beginning of the Revolution to the present day. Among them - icons and portraits of Soviet leaders - the leaders of the revolutionary movement, the image of the "new icons and revolutionaries of XX century" - Marilyn Monroe and Che Guevara, original works of artists Timur Novikov and Roland Shalamberidze. A separate part of the exhibition assigned creatively processed photographs of the royal family which were taken against the background of Tobolsk authorship of Andrew Chezhin.

The exhibition of icons and works of Soviet and foreign art in Geneva will last until March 18.
