Memory of Russia: The exhibition "Each of us has his own Pushkin", dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the memory of the poet, in Saratov

March 22, 2017 in the N. G. Chernyshevsky Museum-Estate (Saratov) is opening the exhibition "Each of us has his own Pushkin", dedicated to the 180 anniversary of the memory of the poet.

This exhibition is an attempt to present critical episodes of Pushkin's creative life, the writer's fate in the Russian society of Pushkin's time. The extraordinary versatility of Pushkin's personality and creativity was already noted by his contemporaries. It is this versatility that determines the idea of ​​the exhibition "Each of us has his own Pushkin".

In the center of the exhibition narrative there is a picture of Pushkin's last years of life and creativity, where prose and poetry, journal activities, family situation, relations with criticism and the government will appear. The faces of the participants in the events, the statements and memories of contemporaries, correspondence, magazine articles, poetic lines make up the context that allows one to feel the atmosphere of the last Pushkin years.

The exhibition presents rare editions of works by Alexander Pushkin, illustrations for Pushkin's works, lithographs and engravings by Alexander Pushkin and his contemporaries, views of Moscow and St. Petersburg of the XIX century.

The exhibition runs till July 15, 2017.
