Information Technology and Society: A train-library has been opened in the metro of Saint-Petersburg

The subway train with a hundred free books went on the route. Passengers of the "orange" line will get access to the electronic library with the help of their smartphones.

For the first time such a composition began work in the St. Petersburg metro last April, on the eve of Book Day, then passengers of the "red" metro line could get access to the large library in the cars.

This time the launch of the “Mobile Library” coincided with the official opening of Wi-Fi in the subway of the Northern capital.

In order to download the book, users must register on the website, the address of which is placed in the cars. After that the gadget will load the selected book, you can read it not only in the metro, but in any convenient place.

The list of literature included the world classics, children's books, popular scientific works and compositions of St. Petersburg writers.
