History and Culture: The exhibition "Karl Faberge and Alexey Denisov-Uralsky", dedicated to the work of Russian jewelers of the XIX - early XX century, in Yekaterinburg

The Moscow Kremlin Museums take part in the exhibition in Yekaterinburg in the Museum of the History of Stone-Cutting and Jewelry Art, which was opened on June 8, 2017 and timed to the quarter-century anniversary of the museum. Undoubted interest in the exhibition is magnificent quartz of smoke-golden hue, which is the only item in the collection of the Kremlin Museums, associated with the work of the famous artist, stone-cutter and jeweler Alexei Denisov-Uralsky. The master treated a rare mineral, skillfully revealing its best qualities and emphasizing its original shape and dimensions. According to legend, quartz belonged to the last Russian emperor Nicholas II, who loved to surround himself with stones and products from them.

Museums of the Kremlin showcase the unique seals of the House of Romanovs at the exhibition - expressive examples of hard stone carvings made by stone carvers and goldsmiths in well-known jewelry firms.
