Society and Culture: The VII International Forum "Historical and Cultural Heritage as a Resource of Socio-Cultural Development" in Khakassia

June 29, 2017 the VII International Cultural and Tourism Forum "Historical and Cultural Heritage as a resource of socio-cultural development" is launched. The forum has been held in Khakassia since 2011 and it is the first forum in Russia dedicated to the preservation of cultural heritage.

The main theme of the forum is the Great Silk Road. The work in this direction was chosen not accidentally, because at the V St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum the Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia Alla Manilova was instructed to the Republic of Khakassia to become the coordinator of the project "The Great Silk Road". To date, the development of the tourist brand on the ancient caravan route is one of the priority areas in Russia. 

In the Republican Museum and Cultural Center, which will officially be open in the framework of the forum, a presentation of the All-Russian project "The Great Silk Road. The Siberian road" will be held. Four southern Siberian regions - the republics of Khakassia, Altai, Tyva and Kemerovo region - present the tourist potential of their territories, along which the northern branch of the great trade route passed. This topic will also be devoted to the exhibition of the best works of the international Art Symposium on contemporary art from the collection of the Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve.

On this day, the Republican Museum and Cultural Center will also present an exhibition of the A. A. Bakhrushin State Central Theater Museum, dedicated to the actress Faina Ranevskaya. Also for the first time in the framework of the forum the L. R> Kyzlasov Khakass National Museum of Local Lore will show open funds - this is a unique project that will allow the general public to get acquainted with exhibits that have never been exhibited before.

Also in the business part of the forum there will be held meetings and discussions on the issues of preservation and use of the cultural heritage of the region, effective interaction of scientific, educational and environmental organizations in the process of forming children's ecological consciousness, information technologies in the context of the dialogue of cultures and the life ecology - the issues of the upbringing of a healthy generation.

On July 1, the special session of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization "The Great Silk Road on the SCO Space" will be held within the framework of the Forum "Historical and Cultural Heritage as a Resource of Socio-Cultural Development".

Also on July 1, an expanded meeting of the Presidium of the International Union of Museums in Russia (ICOM Russia) will be held.
