The exhibition "Masquerade". 1917. Lermontov, Meyerhold, Golovin" is open until August 10, 2017 in the Museum "House-atelier of the architect F. O. Livchak" (Museum-Reserve "Homeland of V. I. Lenin", Ulyanovsk).

This is a joint project of the Pushkin Russian State Academic Drama Theater (Alexandrinsky), the A. A. Bakhrushin State Central Theater Museum and the Museum-Reserve "Homeland of V. I. Lenin".

Visitors of the exhibition will see authentic stage costumes created by the sketches of the outstanding artist A. Y. Golovin. Their magic can be explained by the skill of the artist, the elaboration of details that should be visible from the hall at a distance, and also by the complex range of shades gathering in the general palette of the play. Sketches of the scenery for the performance "Masquerade", A. Golovin's letter to A. A. Bakhrushin about the fate of the decoration materials for the "Masquerade", as well as rare ticket № 121 for the dress rehearsal of the play "Masquerade", dated February 24, 1917, are provided from Funds of the A. A. Bakhrushin State Central Theater Museum. Eight scenic costumes will make an amazing journey into the past of the Russian theater and in the fatal 1917 year.
