6 July 2017

The exhibition "Hot Summer of 1941: Invasion - A View Through the Front Line" was opened in the Museum and Memorial Complex "The History of the T-34 Tank" (the Moscow region).

The exhibition is devoted to the heroic deeds of the defenders of the Fatherland in the first months of the Great Patriotic War.

The T-34 Tank History Museum presents an exhibition of photographs from the collection of Andrey Karpov. Together with his comrades, A. Karpov not only officially acquired photographs on various Internet sites of the European Union, but also conducted a large research work. Identified the identity of the dead servicemen, their belonging to the military formations, the numbers of the combat vehicles were specified.

Going to the places of photography in 1941, a group of enthusiasts led by A. Karpov made a topographical "binding" of photographs to the terrain, after seven decades, made repeated photography from the same points and in the same angles. As a result, there were unique art installations, now presented to visitors to the museum.

An integral part of the exhibition is original photographs and amateur filming of German servicemen, as well as fragments of weapons found during the search works.

The exhibition will run till the end of August 2017.
