Russian Culture Abroad: Photo Exhibition "Russian North" is presented in Ljubljana

July 6, 2017 in the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Ljubljana (Slovenia) is opening a photo exhibition "Russian North" of the famous Russian photo artist Tatiana Karpova.

Visitors of the exhibition will learn about the northernmost and mysterious side of Russia - the Solovetsky Islands. Photo artist Tatiana Karpova spent two months on the islands. In the lens of her camera thee were depicted a severe northern landscape, as well as the walls of the last prison for prisoners (GULAG) and the abode of the monastic brotherhood.

The exhibition features color photo works that immerse the viewer in the cold and sacred world of northern Russia.
