History of Russia: The exhibition "History of Russia's Money in Coins and Banknotes" in Yekaterinburg

July 11, 2017 in the Museum and Exhibition Center "House of Poklevsky-Kozell" (Yekaterinburg) is opened an exhibition "History of Russia’s Money in Coins and Banknotes."

This is the only mobile exhibition in Russia devoted to money signs, which represents 1200 authentic exhibits from Dmitry Donskoy to the present day.

Visitors to the exhibition will see coins and banknotes that have been in our country since ancient times to the present day:

- pre-Mongolian monetary circulation;

- money of periods of the Golden Horde, the Great Principalities (Novgorod, Pskov, Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod-Suzdal, Tver, Moscow and its allotments), the Russian State (from Ivan III to Peter the Great);

- all-Russian coinage (from Peter the Great to modern times, laid out for periods of emperorship);

- money issued in Russia for foreign countries;

- all variety of banknotes of the Civil War period: issues of White Guard governments (Kolchak, Denikin, Yudenich, Atamans Dutov, Semenov and others) and money from various units of the Red Army (from Petrograd to the Far East);

- issues on behalf of individual cities and provinces, representing not only the territory of modern Russia, but also Poland, Finland, Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic, the Caucasus and Central Asia;

- other payment means that were circulated on a par with cash.

The exhibition is open to visitors from July 12 to October 1, 2017.
