To the 100 anniversary of the 1917 revolution: The International Scientific Conference “The Russian Revolution and Constitution” to be held in Moscow
October 24, 2017 in the House of the Russian Historical Society in Moscow within the framework of events timed to the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution, an international scientific conference devoted to understanding the phenomena of the Revolution and the Constitution as ways by which one social system generates another will take place. Particular attention will be paid to the legal aspects and specifics of the functioning of these mechanisms in the domestic context.
The International Scientific Conference "The Russian Revolution and the Constitution" will become an interdisciplinary discussion platform at which Russian and foreign experts will consider the specifics and interaction of the mechanisms of revolutionary and constitutional changes in Russia, taking into account new data and theoretical approaches of various sciences. Such an approach will allow us to generalize useful historical experience and deepen scientific ideas about the nature of society, the state and law, the features of the functioning of social systems under conditions of change, the role of the Constitution in ensuring the development and sustainability of the socio-political system.
The task of the conference is to promote the formation of a public consensus and the realization of values of harmony and reconciliation.
The central core of the conference will be the speeches of invited speakers, which will start the discussions of the plenary sessions.
The conference will be attended by representatives of government bodies of the Russian Federation, domestic and foreign experts in the field of constitutional and political history of Russia, economics, sociology, cultural studies, representatives of the Russian foreign (including legal) diaspora.
