Regions of Russia: Veliky Ustyug begins to celebrate its 870th anniversary

The ancient northern city of Veliky Ustyug on July 20, 2017 begins the celebration of the 870th anniversary of its founding.

The opening of the exhibition on the results of the XI All-Russian Plein Air dedicated to the city's 870th anniversary, as well as the exhibition "Great Ustyug through the eyes of artists" is timed to the festive date.

The festival "Family of Russia" will be held in the city. In addition, many other events are also planned.

July 21 will be organized the work of the creative salon "Silver Affairs Master", dedicated to the master jeweler A. Palachev. The exhibition project "Patterns of the Russian North" will start, where works from the National Gallery of the Republic of Komi will be shown, an exhibition "Favorite City through the Photographer's Eyes" will be open.

The main jubilee events, which will include a rally, a solemn procession, a music program, military-historical reconstructions, will be held on July 22 and 23.
