Information technologies and museums: The Pushkin All-Russian Museum presents a multimedia art project "Russian Fantasy. Pushkin’s Fairy Tales"

7 August 2017

Multimedia art project "Russian Fantasy. Pushkin's Fairy Tales" is presented from August 4 to October 6, 2017 in the exhibition hall "Biron Stables" of the All-Russian Pushkin Museum (Saint-Petersburg).

The multimedia art project, invented by video artists, is based on genuine illustrations to the poet's tales, stored in the museum's funds. The art project is held within the framework of the festival "PushkinFest".

The well-known stories from childhood created by such talented artists of the turn of the XIX-XX centuries as Mikhail Vrubel, Boris Kustodiev, Natalia Goncharova, Ivan Bilibin, Konstantin Korovin and Alexander Golovin open completely new visual worlds and meanings in the poet's works. The multimedia show lasting 18 minutes is accompanied by the music of A. Shtnitke, N. Rimsky-Korsakov, M. Glinka and F. Glass.

"PushkinFest" is the first museum festival dedicated to Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, the opening of which took place on the birthday of the poet, June 6, at the Pushkin All-Russian Museum.
