Society and reading: Seminar "Reading of modern children and adolescents: learning, forms and methods of promotion" in Nizhny Novgorod

August 16, 2017 in Nizhny Novgorod the Russian State Children's Library (RGDB) hosts a seminar "Reading modern children and adolescents: learning, forms and methods of promotion".

The seminar will include:

• The concept of the program for supporting children's and youthful reading in the Russian Federation - the main directions and stages of implementation;

• Review of all-Russian studies on sociology, psychology and pedagogy of children's reading;

• Review of the most effective programs and projects aimed at developing the reading of children and adolescents - Russian and foreign experience;

• Initiatives for inclusion in the draft program to support children's and youthful reading in the Russian Federation.

The seminar is attended by experts from the interdepartmental working group on the preparation of the Program for the support of children's and youthful reading in the Russian Federation.

The seminar was organized with the support of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Nizhny Novgorod State Regional Children's Library as part of the XIV All-Russian Library School "Leader-2017". It is an integral part of the series of events "Methods of forming and implementing joint projects and programs in support of children's and young people's reading, assessing their effectiveness", which will be organized by the RGDB in September-November 2017 in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Kaliningrad. Round tables and seminars will be accompanied by practical master classes, developed according to special methods, for testing technologies for the implementation of projects to support children's and young people's reading.
